ECO-FRIENDLY TIPS FOR WOMEN
It can be a bit of a jungle when you set out to live more sustainably. Because where should you start, what should you choose and can you really trust that it is as good as it sounds? If you are a woman, there are a few things you can do that benefit both the environment and your finances.
We have made a guide for you that shows how you, as a woman, can make your everyday life more climate-friendly by just making a few small adjustments.
Ditch the disposable products
One of the major climate culprits is disposable products. They require a lot of resources to produce, and they are only used once, after which they are thrown away. This means that these products must be produced in large quantities, and they therefore create a lot of waste.
It can therefore benefit the environment if you make some small changes in your daily routine. If, for example, you use cotton pads to remove your make-up, you can replace these with a small washcloth to great advantage. A washcloth can be used over and over again, as it can be easily washed. You may want to consider buying an organic washcloth, as this can help you avoid dangerous chemicals often found in disposable products.
If you use disposable razors to shave, then you can also consider replacing these with a more environmentally friendly solution. The most sustainable solution will be to buy a metal scraper, as this will save the environment from a lot of unnecessary plastic. You might be nervous that you have to have an ugly masculine razor in your bathroom, but girls! There are actually several brands that have gone out and made mind scrapers in great colors.
Save on tampons and pads
Another area where women use a lot of disposable products is when it's that time of the month. Today, menstruation is unfortunately associated with a great many disposable products. Fortunately, there have been more and more alternatives for women in recent years that are both practical and environmentally friendly. Menstruation cups and sanitary napkins have become incredibly popular, and they are both inexpensive alternatives that you can use for many years. The menstrual cup only needs to be changed 2 times a day, and cloth pads only need to be washed in the washing machine after use. For many women, using these products may seem a bit borderline-crossing at first, but you quickly get used to it, and it often makes everyday life a bit easier. They are also much better for the environment, and that is the most important thing!
Change your soap
Many women love soaps that smell good. Unfortunately, many of these soaps contain a lot of dangerous chemicals, which are both bad for your skin and the environment. By using a natural soap, you instead send organic products down the drain, which thus has a less harmful effect on the environment and human health. Natural soaps are also rich in vitamins, antioxidants, proteins and calcium. These ingredients both protect the skin and supply it with the moisture and nourishment it often needs. You can therefore advantageously consider replacing your regular soap with a natural bar of soap.

Are all your products necessary?
Women in particular are known to use an incredible number of products for hair, body and face. However, many of these products are often harmful to the environment. It is therefore a good idea to make a critical assessment of the products you use in your everyday life and see whether they are necessary or whether there might be an environmentally friendly alternative out there.
